Has any one heard any news in regards the 1/144 flower corvette (early) ? I heard it should be by this November but nothing more.

Actually it is coming this October, according to Revell's release statements on new kits. Just no other promotion has been done yet.

Various online retailers list their availability ranging from November to December.

Thanks, that's why I'm supprised there's nothing more floating around the Internet, especially when you take into account how popular there 1/72 flower has been over the years.

What worried me more was though the kit was stated as an early flower boat, any images from Revell referring to it were of the same late version they have for the 1/72 scale version.

I'm really hoping this 1/144 kit will be a short forecastle flower.

Yes i did notice that. Looks like a Late 44 Flower / Flower Mod.

I have seen the ones from Mirage at 1/350 1/400 which seem to have a lot of versions. But don't know there kits and that scale is a bit small for a flower to me.

I have the 1/72 started with the idea of back dating it to a short Forecastle version but if this early 1/144 version, I'd get that and keep the 1/72 as a later version.

Also, I've found that the 1/72 kit is one of a Flower built to Royal Navy specifications. Canadian built and RCN service boats had a more rounded stern to help accommodate mine towing gear, had the 'band stand' gun placement in a different location and the galley moved midships as opposed to the aft mounted versions of the RN boats. (Aso, while the RN boats were named after flowers, RCN boats were named after Canadian towns). I'm curious to see what the 1/144 kit reflects -RCN service or RN service.
