Thanks for the review, Darren, when someone asks you if that's a submarine in the bath, you can say yes. Will like to see the PE that will follow this release.

Nice write-up, thank you, Darren!

I eagerly awaited the release of this kit, as it has a Canadian connection... it was surrendered to RCN in May 1945. A big model of U-190 graces our Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.

I have started building this boat, and yes there IS a fair bit of PE detail sets available for it from different sources outside the big companies.

Revell of Germany again has released another fine big model U-boat, though due to their re-using of U-505 molds there are some minor and not-so-minor corrections to be made if one wants a more accurate version of U-190.
