Hello,
Beeing mainly an armor modeler I recently decided to venture in the world of ship modeling with a 1/350 Revell Bismarck set.
My question is which PE is best to use around the scope of 50$ (not talking about the 180 $ sets).
Besides the usual Big Ed set from Eduard, I recently came accross a set from a Chinese firm called SS-Models for the Revell Bismarck.
At first glance it does not seem to have PE railings but it has 8 frets, seems quite rich material.
Anyone knows anything about it?
You can see the set in the following link.

Your suggestions are welcome, thank you.

SS Models make knock offs of other firms work. Normally exact copies EXCEPT for the instructions.. well that is how mine were. They may have improved by now but I can't see them doing their own. I got scanned copies of the originals.

Alexander,
I concur with Warren's comments. I purchased the SS-Models 20mm and they were an exact copy of the Master Model version to include the photocopied instructions with the Master Model logo on the instructions. Also the metal used is of less quality.

In that price range the Big Ed set, I would reckon is the best option, the figures that come with it are not the best, and there is little help for the light AA, but there is a lot of good stuff for your money.

Thank you for your opinions.
Can you identify the original manufacturter of the PE parts that SS-Models offers for the Bismarck?
Cheers
