A classy build Frankie!

If i recall correctly Entex released this kit in the early 1970's and also the Titanic in 1/350. The molds of the Titanic are now owned and marketed by Minicraft who still sell the Titanic (and are possibly going to release Olympic)

However the Lusitania molds now seem to be owned by Mr Hobby, but even then the kit is pretty hard to come by, making yours that much more special.

Thank you for sharing!

Frankie,

Thanks for showing us these. Entex kits are in interesting bunch. I don't recall if this was their own tooling but whoever made the model, they did a fine job. Your LUSITANIA is a beautiful model.

Fine looking ship there Frankie! Thanks for sharing it with us!

fyi...if you pop the IMG brackets around the links, the pics, and not just the links will show up in the post. I added the brackets to your post for you. Or...if you click the Image tab below the editor box when posting it will pop the IMG Brackets into the box...replace the text between the brackets with you link.

Keep up the great work!!

Good looking model of a very handsome ship. I just finished reading "Dead Wake" by Erik Larson - the story of the Lucy's last crossing. I have the kit in my stash, if I ever get around to building it, it will be as she was during the last voyage.

Hi Martin if you plan on modelling Lucy on her last voyage there are some modifications she had which you would need to perform. Some of her ventilation hatches on the upper boat deck were modified so they looked similar to Mauritania also prior to her last crossing her lifeboat quota was increased with the addition of new davits so with what is included in the base kit making Lucy into how she appeared on her last voyage isn't possible. Extra life boats and davits will be required not impossible if you can create resin castings of the davits and boats until you have the required amount the ventilators though you'd have to scratch build. Not an impossible task but one I'm not that skilled or brave enough to carry out myself. Good luck with your build mate

Nice job on the Lusitania. I like the detailing. Did you build this recently or back in 1978?
