I'm a 17 year Army Brat that spent the first 17 years of his life living on military bases in Germany. My first love is WWII Armor, second WWII Fighters and Bombers. I have always been a closet ship builder, every now and then build something water borne. My first love for water crafts has and always will be the PT 109.
I was in Germany when JFK was assassinated and I can tell you that it hit the German public hard, they loved Kennedy. My grandfather on my German mother's side sculpted granite for graveyards and his sculpt of Kennedy's bust was a masterpiece. The sculpt was given to my Kentucky born father by my grandfather.
Well it finally happened, I got the inspiration I needed to start my build. It was the combination of finding out that Italeri did a 1/35 scale (a scale which I am very comfortable with) and Stu Hurley's build. So here I am, admiring Todd Michalak's PT build. Between Stu and Todd I hope to do half as well and I will be happy.
