This is Bronco's 1/350 Ching Yuen. Built in Britain by Armstrong in 1880's for China. A grand old pre-dreadnought, and one of my favorites. Can't hardly wait for Bronco's 1/144 kit of the same.

Another fine one Biggs! Love the dio, it adds a great sense of scale to the build! Nice job on the smoke! Well done!

I'm going to do some self-criticism - I made some of the rigging too taught, and the topmasts are noticeably bending. The ratlines, too, aren't straight, but I'm going to say it's a breezy day and they're blowing a bit. But, in defense, this was one of my first ship models, and it's a learning experience.

To be honest my friend...those items are lost on the bigger picture of this! Even though an early build for you, the composition is well done!

A certain Greek gentleman with the initials "K. K." who posts fantastic builds has inspired me greatly!

Biggles,
Beautiful classy ol' lady. Did the junk come with it? I love the colors used on the ships of the era. Fine work!

Thanks. The junk is just that - junk! Scratchbuilt from some scraps, and brass foil. The crew are brightly colored l'Arsenal figs with Tichy rivets filed down to pointy straw hats.

Hi Biggles,
That is some just straight up beautiful work! The ship is nicely done, and the dio setting really makes her shine. Very effective - and inspirational!
