Well I have loads of projects on the bench in one form or another but these two yes two, jumped right to the front.
The two culprits are the Trumpeter LCM(3) and Revell LSM (early)
The LCM is ready for primer and is a nice little build it comes with no load or colour guide so I nicked a Sherman from the LSM and have been looking for photos of a Pacific craft in camo. The LSM is going together well but does require a bit of filler which is where she will be going this evening.
A quick question, does anyone know of any detail sets for the LSM before I get stuck into the detail parts?

Sometimes certain things just have to be done before others! Nice looking pair there Luciano! Love the sherman...sets the scale rather well!

Thanks Todd, need to find some crew for these. Should get some primer on tomorrow hopefully.

Hi Luciano,
Very nice work!
The only AM stuff that I know of is an extra vehicle set released by RoG for that LSM.
If you are into 3D printed stuff, Shapeways has an assortment of US WW2 crew figures,in 1:144 scale,
that can man those ships.
Pegasus is another source for US ground forces in 1:144 but come pre-painted.
On a technical note, the LCM 3 had a cargo capacity of 30 short tons, while a Sherman weighs in at
33.4 short tons, so the LCM 3 could not carry a Sherman. You would need a LCM 6 for the Sherman...
stretch the LCM 3 by 6 scale feet.
You could use the other vehicles supplied with the kit.
Cheers,
Joe

Thanks for the info Joe, looks like a 2 ½ ton truck will be the load instead although while searching Shapeways for figures to man them I did find a jeep with trailer.
Nice to have you looking in Si
Well back from work and the LCM has gone into the spray booth and been hit with primer, still trying to decide on the final colour scheme, so if any one wants to post pictures of Pacific LCM's I'm open to suggestions especially if they are not grey.

Hi Luciano,
I'm definitely watching here, as well - even though my knowledge on those vessels is quite embryonic... but that looks like a really nice and interesting setup!
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan, nice to have you along and your not alone I'm learning myself
Well just come out of the spray booth and the LCM has just received a coat of Ocean grey 5-O, no photo as the paint is still wet.
I've been a bit busy with the LSM cleaning up the filler which is mainly around the stern as there were a few gaps, now to start looking at colour for the vehicle deck as the aft end is covered over so needs to be painted before that is fitted.

This is so inspiring! Imagine what we could all so if we had LST's in 1/144!

Karl, I'd be happy for an LST and an LCT, LCVP and LCA plus all the rest, oh and some of the 'nam brown water navy versions.
