Very Sad. This old war lady fought in every major sea battle during WW-2 ! The most decorated Carrier in the war comes to an end like this. Going the same way as the as the British Battleship Warspite. I would have thought that a historical ship like this should have been saved as a memorial. To me this is very sad indeed! And yet they are talking about raising the Graf spee? Makes no sents to me!

Are you sure it is the CV-6? I think she was scrapped in 1958 at Kearny, NJ?

"Approved for HMS Warspite to be scrapped." With those words the British Admiralty signed the Warspite's death warrant. If two ships, USS Enterprise and HMS Warpsite ever deserved to be preserved those two did. The Americans and British nations should both be ashamed that two such ships, that both served their countries so well, should wind up being scrapped.
