I will be converting my J.F.K hull into the America. Gregg from Shapeways is making the island.

I have started on the hull. The port side bow anchor hole has been fill.

almost done with the half the forward part of the hull. Post photos tomorrow.

Finally figure out how to post on a new computer. Have something in a couple days.

Working on the fantaIL and hangar deck. The hull will not be that hard to do. Sponsons from the J.F.K are pretty close to America. The island is a different story. Gregg from Shapeways is making the island. I still have Kitty Hawk to do also,but working on two Supercarriers at the same time is no problem. Happy Modeling everybody!

Started on the fantail and starboard side aft section.

Rework the starboard side aft sponson for the Terrier launcher and radar.

Nice! I see you have made a start on the hangar detailing. Very cool.

Almost done with starboard side bulkheads in the hangar bay.

done with the hangar bay. equipment and ac's will come later. working on the hull now.

Working on the port side overhang. This weekend place a new flight deck on the hull. Also waiting for parts from Shapeways and Free Time Hobbies.

Great work here as well - the fitting out of the hangar bay is absolutely amazing!!
