Hi guys,

I'm going to start the Italeri Vosper "St. Nazaire Raid" MTB 74 soon. Does anyone know for sure if this is hard line or sprayed on (soft line) camo? One photo of the real boat I saw at a dock looked like hard line. Thanks for responses.

Hi George,

From all the pics that I have seen, I believe that the camo was hard line.

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks Guys,

Yes all the photos I have seen (the few that exist including that one) appear to be hard line camo. It should be interesting. I did PT Boat 596 in hard line hand painted free hand once the base color was airbrushed on....... I would prefer to use acrylic paints weathered with an artist oil paints wash. However Acrylic doesn't hand brush well. This means either using enamel paints and sealing before the oil wash, or airbrushing acrylics with masks, which could be difficult or impossible over the deck fittings.
