No way known to mankind would I rig the booms in 1/350. No way!

House hunting is far more stressful!

Hello Everyone.

Quite a bit of progress during the week. First I got all the hatch covers glued on..







I know there are some mould seams on the winches but you won't even see them once it is all together and I just couldn't face removing them all. Then there in the stern gun platform..



And then some detail on the bridge superstructure..



Not a very good photo.. oh well..

Then what I presume will be the wheelhouse eventually..





The roof is finished as well but the photo was too crap to show. Lots more stuff done like guns and their various mounts.

More after I paint some more stuff.

Thanks for the kind concern.

Just over a year ago my parents, brother and sister in law moved to Nelson.

Not far from Kaikoura.

They really felt the earthquakes and after shocks.

They are luckily ok ambit really unsettled etc.

Ah my son but there is no other colour.. haze grey, haze, grey or haze grey. Even the main deck is supposed to be haze grey but I used a little artistic license there.

Good to hear Sean.

New Zealand is a nice place but I am glad I live in seismically inactive Australia!

And then, it was finished.. well except for a little touch up on the funnel I only noticed in the pictures.















That's it. Over. Fini. Not sure what's next yet.. It will be a surprise..

Well there is certainly nothing wrong with that! She looks fantastic Warren! The project definitely served its purpose...thinned the stash, bumped off and old one in there and kept the modelling juices flowing! I might have to grab one of these at some point myself...great platform to play around with various weathering aspects! Congrats on getting it over the finish line!

Thanks everyone. I just wish I could bring myself to build something without PE, but once you are hooked that is it!

Except of course if there are bo PE sets for the item then they sit in the stash waiting for ages like the USS Alabama did for me.
