One of the major pieces of of electrical gear on most Korean era carriers was the large SX radar antenna array. See the picture https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/OnlineLibrary/photos/images/k09000/k09904.jpg. It was a large two antenna long-range, three-dimension air search radar that eventually became AN/SP-8. But during Korea the large system was seen on most, if not all, Essex class carriers. Does anyone know of a 1/350 aftermarket kit, or has anyone scratchbuilt one of these monster systems?
