Ahoy Shipmates

Big earthquake in Kaikoura, South Island New Zealand 7.5

Struck at around midnight NZ time.

2 people reported dead.

Lot of devastation.

Prayers and thoughts to all those affected.

I am fortunate I am based in Auckland but my family in Nelson were pretty shook up.

Agreed, my thoughts and prayers go out to New Zealand as well. Although we've been lucky so far, the dreaded spectre of earthquakes is always over us here in California too. Here's to recovery and better times!
