Yep highlighted in an Aussie news article two years ago (which I posted a link to back then) although it's still sad news and still needs to be highlighted.

Locals are striping the ships for scrap even though they are war graves and no one was stopping them.

My dad was on the Houston. Fortunately, he and the friend he enlisted with and served with survived the war.

I had read about this on an earlier post on the Web. What a shame that the Ships, the Dead and the resting places where so Disturbed. That is not the way to pay the Respect they Deserve.
