I'd love to see a US Navy subchaser; maybe around 1/144 scale or larger. Also auxiliary ships like tugs, minesweepers, minelayers, etc. in the larger scales. There's a plethora of types usually found in harbors and naval bases.

Having an 80' Elco, a Vosper, an Italian MAS, a Russian G-5 MTB, and the German S-boat, I'd really love a 77' Elco PT boat, and a 78' Higgins PT, both in 1/35th, to round out my collection. A Vietnam era Swift boat would be nice also. And an addition to my home to keep them in. Al

I'd love to see the second-oldest commissioned ship in the US Navy, USS Pueblo. Pueblo was an intelligence gathering ship captured at sea by the North Koreans in 1968 and is still held captive in Pyongyang.

Hi Grant,

Great suggestion on that Fairmile....would not mind seeing that
in 1:72 scale as well...still a manageable size, just a little
longer than a Revell S100 Schnellboot.

Cheers,
Joe

1/72nd Early Schnellboot (something better than the Airfix kit)
1/35th Early Schnellboot (logical thing for Italeri to consider)

Maybe Dragon could get into doing 1/72nd Schnellboots?

Just a radical thought!

Cheers

Ok, I'll play (I love these things, can you tell? )

All 1/350...

RN Carriers-any one or two of the following:
HMS Courageous as WW2 aircraft carrier
HMS Glorious as WW2 aircraft carrier
HMS Furious as WW2 aircraft carrier
HMS WW2 Illustrious (ww2) Class aircraft carriers
HMS Implacable Class aircraft carriers
HMS Audacious Class aircraft carriers
HMS Colossus/Majestic Class aircraft carriers
HMS Centaur Class aircraft carriers
HMS Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers

Battleships:
HMS Royal Sovereign Class
HMS Majestic Class

Cruisers
Leander Class
Dido Class

Oh, and one other little little class of ships that every manufacturer seems to bl&%dywell forget: Nelson/Rodney in 1/350!

A bit of a bias towards RN, but so many good ships to cover off on.

So far, all excellent suggestions, especially the 1:144 LST (WITH troops and tanks, BTW). My additions:

All RN escorts: frigates, sloops, and corvettes, in 1:144.
1/350 New Mexico class and the American Big Five (Tennessee and Colorado) in their various guises.

Very nice thread indeed!!

So for me, I'm focussing on 1/350 plastic kits.
Most of my 'top wishes' are already listed.

So for RN WW II it would be (order is no preference...)

- carriers (Illustrious class, the converted Battlecruisers...)
- R Class Battleship
- HMS Renown in her later fit
- One of the QE's with the old bridge design (one out of Barham, Malaya, Valiant?)
- Rodney / Nelson - are they actually coming in 2017???
- Cruisers, 8" and the later 5,25" ers

For DKM
- Gneisenau 1940/41
- Lützow
- Scheer (late fit, to distinguish for the 1939 Graf Spee)
- Light Cruisers K-Class, or a Nürnberg/Leipzig
- T-Boat

That's about the part of RN DKM WWII that is not represented yet....hm. But I would like to get those!!

Cheers,
Jan

I close my eyes, cross my fingers and make a wish for the following...

In 1/35th scale:

Fairmile D 3-in-1, MGB/MTB/FPB.

Landing Craft, Infantry (Small) - LCI(S) complete with bikes and British troops.

Landing Craft, Support (Large) (MK II) - LCS (L) (2) the hull being the same as the LCI(S).

British Terrapin, MK I or II - not strictly a boat, but it could be a floaty-thing when needed.

1/200 preferably, or 1/350th at a push:

HMS Victorious, both in a 1940s and 1960s variant, and with corresponding aircraft.

Not much to ask for...is it?

Ahoy shipmates,

This has turned out to be quite a wishlist...keep it coming...maybe the kit manufacturers are reading!

I forgot one....something I have been waiting for a long time in a plastic kit:

A Kriegsmarine KFK, short for Kriegsfischkutter... 1:144 or 1:72 or even 1:35 would be great!

Cheers,
Joe
