I am building what will be my largest model ever HMS Warspite 1942. I had to extensively modify the hull bulkhead locator holes that are on the hull halves.Boy,what a pain to run into on the first page.I ground down the locators with a dremel tool until I could join the halves without a gap.I suggest you do the same or risk busting up the hull or filling large gaps.Anyone else with this problem?Good thing is that the deck parts fit perfectly Thanks.

This is typical of some Trumpeter kits, especially in the older kits.

I haven't run into this problem yet with Trumpeter. I have this kit in my stash so it looks like I may have something to look forward to right from the get-go.

In retrospect it was not to bad of a problem. The price sure is right. I also drilled out the holes since they were a bit too small.

not every kit falls together out of the box, those that don't are what makes the hobby part of the fun. problem solving and solutions to keep us on our toes.
