Wouldn't that be a little dangerous having depth charges along the bow? You think the ship will clear them before they go off in the water?

Wonder no more, look at the pics on the first page, the bow is the pointy bit, the stern, blunt bit, has the depth charges & paravane...

Lovely work Michael ! You must feel relieved your project is nearly finished, although some crew figures would be nice, I wonder what your next project will be ?

The other pictures didn't display on my screen and didn't realize that was the stern. I stand corrected. For some reason this Forum site will sometime display everything and sometime not when viewed on my desktop. A lot of times it will clock for up to ten minutes before displaying anything or all of the contents. The Armorama site works without any issues on my desktop.

I changed the 3cm fenders to smaller ones from Krick (2cm).



A little bir colored with tea, but not really visible on the pics. Maybe I will use the rope paint from Lifecolor...

PS. The large fenders will be used as a deck load...

Btw, The depth charges from Schatton are exactly in scale. The real Wasserbomben are the WBD or WBF type (length 70cm and 45cm diameter).

I‘ve painted the depth charges after looking for the type. There were different types using the same „superstructure“. The difference from WBG to WBF was the weight of explosives. WBG = 120kg, WBF = 60 kg and a lower sinking rate. The WBF was used by small and slow vessels as the KFK and marked with yellow paint.







Tamiyas panzer grey was used for Broncos dinghy
