There aren't a lot of completed models for sale so there must be plenty of rooms full of ships. If anyone wants to sell one send me a pm. I was looking for a specific ship but will now broaden the scope to include tall ships of any sort, preferably from the age of discovery.

Sounds like you are not getting much response to your requests. I would suggest that you try the following sites which are more oriented towards wooden ships:
https://modelshipworld.com/
http://modelshipbuilder.com/
I am a wooden ship builder and it is a long slow project.

Grant, You are the first to reply about this I understand with all the time that goes into a build.
I'm a little surprised that at least one or two people haven't replied. Those with first or second builds that they might want to get rid of.
Anyway, I will continue to look at the various options out there.
There are a few builders that are within my price range but I don't know if a forum like this is the place to ask for opinions on commercial model ship builders. What are your thoughts on this?
note: I did ask to join modelshipworld. I received an e-mail from Winston indicating that it probably would not be the place for me and I would tend to agree if the lack of response here is any judge. Overall model shipbuilders seem to be a nice bunch of people. There could of been a lot of negative responses instead of just a lack of responses.

Another big problem would be transporting the finished product.
