Wonderful composition: the choice of boat, the craftsmanship, the water effects, the figures, and the simplicity of the setting. Could we get close ups?

Thank you mates for your nice comments. Unfortunately I can’t take any more photos, the model was a commission work and it is already in the collectors display cabinet! Concerning the sea ,I did not use any “exotic” material. I always have as a base a Styrofoam piece. For the waves I use air dry clay which I roughen it with an old brush. I like to work with simple acrylics to paint the sea and to give the transparency with acrylic gel. The secret in the gel is making a lot of layers and sometimes to paint between them lighter tones of your basic sea color. For the white water the combination of cotton with acrylic gloss medium is the better solution. If the sea is calm sometimes I use transparent resin for the final layer.
