We'll see, it is very nice, but wood by its nature is a different ballgame. That said, the parts fit so tight, I have to file each one to loosen things up!

Well, I think I'd rather have parts fit together somewhat tightly, as opposed to being loose!

Another work of art emerging here Paul!
I'm in and following and looking forward to your build!!
Whenever I see these first steps with the hull built up from wood, I'm really tempted - but I am not ready for the sails and the rigging (yet - and I am not sure if I ever will be - your HMS Victory left me in awe)
Cheers,

Looking good Paul.
I have to agree with Jan: these early stages are very tempting, but I don't think I'm ready for the masts and rigging!
I am happy to live vicariously through your excellent builds!

F Paul,
This is glorious! I don't recall ever watching a blog of a wooden ship assembly.
Encouraging. You might inspire my first real wooden ship. I've never completed one.

I like it. The variation in the wood looks more natural than a even color across the whole ship. She is going to be a sweet looking ship when you get her dressed out.
