The more I see of this kit I think Starling have done a fantastic job. Your build is pretty good too!

It is that Russ,
really enjoying this build, got a second one in the stash, the kit includes 2AA fits, single 20mm or single MkVII bofors, they were also fitted with twin 20mm MkV, and lots of Camo schemes.
Starling are also currently working their next release a WW2 River class Frigate, looking forward that one too.

Bit more progress over the weekend.
The after 20mm gum platform with it legs fitted and test fitted in place.
Building the paravanes. I did make one mistake, which is down to not paying attention to the instructions properly.
I fitted the fins to all four,
Should only have fitted them to two, because the lower two did not fit into the racks below, they have to go in tail first, then have the fins fitted.
The only problem is in gently removing the fins from two of them one flicked out of the tweezers and disappeared.
The racks one paravane short.
well a minesweeper could always loose a paravane in the course of it's work.
Cable reels added to the rear end of the 20mm gun deck and the paravane racks test fitted.
This is a really great kit of a small but important ship, and very much enjoying it.

Hi Russ,
I reckon it would make a good choice for a first resin, everything is in the box, well cast, full etch, brass rod and very good instructions. On top of that optional AA fit.
I ma very taken with it, and looking forward to Starling's next release, a River class Frigate.

A little progress.
I decided to replace the 20mm with some Infini models mounts. Not that there is anything wrong with the kit provided mounts, just that I am a little clumsy and broke the barrels off two of them cleaning them up.
The infini mounts.
turned barrels and pedestals, including magazine drum. everything else is etched.
under way.
and built.
I have not yet added magazines, I will to two of them, I lost one separating it from the pedestal.
The angle on the photo is poor, but they are nice, and the easiest all brass mounts I have put together.
A bit of work on the ship herself.
Boat davits on.
and paint going on the boats.
Hope to make some more progress at the weekend.

My question I was about to ask - Master vs Infiny Oerlikons you already discussed extensively with Russ - so my take is, I have to get my hands on the Infiny Oerlikons...and you'r so right, if they look odd, they can spoil the impression of an entire build...

No worries, always glad to have you drop in.
I have found the infini Oerlikens somewhat easier than master's, and you do get a tuned brass magazine drum, it is tiny, and I haven't used it, this time.
a bit more shortly, I have just up laded the pics of some paint going on sub assemblies.
