I thought this should have its own thread for more visibility.

It is with great regret and a tear in my eye that I have been asked to inform all Julian's (Gremlin 56) friends and fellow modellers of his passing away.

His son Wybe tells me that it would appear that he died peacefully in his sleep some two weeks ago of Cardiac Arrest.

I have known Julian for some six years on various forums and can say he was a true Gentleman with a great sense of humour and fine Modeller. Always willing to help and support. His one weakness was rivet counters, well they can't get you now mate. I hope they have got room for your stash wherever you've gone.

I'm going to miss you

Kev

Indeed, he was a great guy to chat with and a very good modeler.

RIP Julian....you will be missed.

Condolences to family and friends.

My condolences to his family and friends. Julian was a great help to me on my vosper and hopefully he'll see it when it's done. An inspiration to many of us and he is sorely missed already. Rest in peace my friend.
Thanks for letting us know Joe.

I'm in total shock at this!

Only the good die young!

RIP Julian!

you will be missed.

Condolences to your family.

There were so many great builds you shared with us: 1/24th Typhoon; 1/200 USS Hornet; 1/200 Bismarck; USS Wasp; 1/200 Arizona; 1/144 Fletcher; and the list goes on with too many more to mention...

Hope they've set you up a work bench and a stash wherever you are now mate!

Saddened to hear this - I didn't know the guy but loved following his brilliant work on many subjects.

Best wishes to his family at this difficult time.

Very sad news indeed,

Great modeller, true Gentleman, learned quite a lot from him in my early days on this forum, always full of help and encouragement.

My condolences to his family and friends, will raise a glass to him tonight.
