Hi, I'm Fred from Armorama. Doing my first (well, second, if including submarine) ship build, 1/700 Trumpeter USS Baltimore 1943. The kit is meh at best, fit issues, thick sprue attachment points, etc.

There seems to be an mistake in the instructions - the bow guns (between the first battery and 20 mm guns) are represented in the instruction as 2 20 mm guns, but reference pics and boxart suggests that it's different. Is the manual incorrect?

A PDF can be found at Scalemate

Ps sorry for the confusion the terms I used could be incorrect.

I think I can help on this one, based several photos of the Baltimore from 1943 thru 1952 it appears that a Quad 40mm was mounted forward of the No.1 main turret.

I did find one picture that appeared to have two single mount 20mm's mounted in the same location. These may have been a temporary mount while waiting for the quad 40s.

This may be the source of the confusion by Trumpeter. I haven't done this for quite awhile, so I hope these come out.
