Can anyone recommend a set of after market brass barrels that I can us for the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Exeter that just came out?

Not as yet Richard, but it's early days... hold off for a bit and see what materializes. You could always send off an email or two to Master Model in Poland or other AM companies.

Anyone in the UK got their Exeter kit yet?
To those of you who went to Telford, were there any for sale there?

I just managed to pick one up from a German vendor via ebay for £63 inc postage.
Still about twenty quid over what it should be priced at for what you get IMHO.
The parts count is quite low too.

Try B&D Barrels. They made some for our kit of the Exeter.

Just received my Exeter kit today - a quick look in the box leaves me underwhelmed at the paucity of contents.

Pocketbond must be milking it for the price they're asking.

have to agree: whilst its great to finally be seeing RN cruisers from the inter war period the RRP it's landed at here has put me of a mind to wait to see what the reviews are like before parting with the coin they're asking.

Sad really, as I hope it sells well enough to encourage Trumpy etc to kit the County classes as well, but the high asking price may dampen sales.

Not sure why the kit isn't available in the UK yet. I'd have thought that here is where the primary sales of such a subject would come from.
Usually we get Trumpy stuff before everyone else, but I have seen it available in the USA and in Europe, yet nothing here.
I wonder if they got their pricing wrong somewhere and are having a renegotiation with their UK importers.

Just looking back, I got the Merit 1/350 Ark Royal kit for only 10 quid more. Mind you, that one came from a German seller too!
