Most capital ships of the Pre- & Dreadnought periods up to the mid-1930's had large "cowl" vents situated on the superstructure and deck. The largest appear to have had Round or Oval openings about 6 feet in diameter.
I am having trouble finding somewhere to purchase a few of these that will be the right size for a 1/350 pre-war battleship. There might be 6 - 10 of these large vents scattered on the main and superstructure decks. Using 72" as the largest opening, in 1/350 it would be just about 7/32" - 5mm.
I've found smaller but not a place to get these large ones. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

I don't know if the sizes would work for your needs, but if you can find one, you might want to raid the vents from either of the old Glencoe 1/225 U.S.S. Oregon or Revell 1/232 U.S.S. Olympia kits. They both have tons of vents which might work.
