Funny, I just searched my online shops for a friend to answer the same question.

HobbyLand hobbies is lowest, but have the kit listed as “coming soon” so I don’t know if they have it in stock: $35.99 plus shipping. HobbyLand hobbies

Military Hobbies: $44.95, but an order for $50 is shipped free, so if you wanted another kit as well, you could save some bucks. Military Hobbies

GreatModels: $44.65 + shipping. GreatModels

Cheers,
Mike

Wow,

Thanks guys! $35.00 and change would be a great price... Several hobby shops in the area have it while others don't --- one shop owner told me that they have it on order from three different distributors and still, no luck.

Thanks again --- gonna have to check out Homeland Hobbies!

I agree, Mike. I am constantly amazed at what kits go for in the UK. Especially if you look at what the Dollar has been doing vs. the Euro and the Pound. Only thing I can figure out, is VAT must be very heavy on plastic. I feel your pain, buddy.

Yeah, that really sucks!, Mike!!!!!!!!

That's nearly double the retail price for the kit over here... AND this is a Revell GERMANY kit no less --- now THAT I don't get!!

My heart goes out to you, buddy (somebody must start a "kit underground" a la the maquis for our pals in Europe!)

It's not so much the VAT which is 17.5% on most things its the price fixing by the importers which is the issue to greedy by far now if they were to lower the price a bit then by all means they still make money and some as more people will see the kit within their price range! look at the price of the dragon kits recently £35 now dragon has a new importer the prices are down to a fair £24 on the new stuff well they'll get the fingers burnt soon enough
