Hi Leopold,
I have not built this kit myself, but have seen it built before. It builds into a fine model. It is a old kit, so would nead some extra detailing to make it a winner. There is also the Nichimo 1/500 Akagi, which some say is a better kit. But it to has its oddities, like molded on railing. That should be removed to make it not look like a toy. You should look at some of the reviews on the ship sites to get a good idea about these kits.
