Thanks for the review. I've been a fan of the Type IX ever since I built my first ship model, the old 1960s Aurora 1/200-ish scale "Wolfpack U-Boat"!
It looks like Revell has, all these years later, released what is (at least for the present) the definitive Type IX kit. I definitely have to add this one to my queue...!

Thanks, Tim, I am knee-deep in building it already. I have both Eduard PE sets, but need some AM scopes and barrels from Schatton-modelbau and have to scratch a pressure hull once I finish opening up the drain holes, but it's a nice kit for the money.
