This arrived in the post yesterday from Christian at MTB Hulls:

I've got a superstructure on the way from Russ Wilson, and plan to add weapons and so on from David Parkins. Been planning to build this for years, and looking forward to finally getting started!

Graham, that's a nice looking hull. What scale is it?

It's 1/72 scale Tim. Nicely made, very fine, lightweight glass fibre. Have to make sure I'm not too hamfisted with the building!

Hi Graham,

I'm not usually a follower of ship builds, but I am a fan of small coastal craft, and Fairmile Ds are one of my favourite.

Always hoped someone would bring out an injection moulded one...in any scale of 1/72nd or larger...we can all dream, .

Look forward to seeing this build progress,

Cheers, ,

G

As mentioned, I've wanted to build one of these for ages. When I recently found out that you can now buy a moulded superstructure for it, rather than scratch-building, that gave me the final prod to get started!
