I do agree, cleaning up molded on anchor chains neatly can be a bit of a chore,
The Infini wood deck set is quite a bit more than just the deck, there is also a small but packed etched fret, brass mooring bits, ensign and Jack staffs and some very nice black anchor cable.

It certainly does. The etch is very good, it does give very clean lines to the anchor ways and the eyes of the ship, it is a well designed little fret in the infini deck.

A bit more progress.
The decks all down.
The boat racks made from a mix White ensign, Edurad and infini parts.
Painted and fitted in place.
Fitting the ground tackle, the very nice infini cable.
Port and starboard cables in place, along with a few other details.
All the cable stoppers fitted.

The Cable stoppers came on the fret with the Infini Deck, that set was pricey, but then there is quite bit for the Money, the fret has a fair bit of deck furnature in.

I won't argue with that, infini's sets are exceptional.
I did look at the full set for the Exeter, came in not far short of the Advanced Pontos set for the 1/200th Bismarck, too rich for me!

Time at the bench has been a bit limited of late, bur a little progress.
The Infini etched breakwater.
The breakwater and some more goodies from the infini deck set ready for a coat of paint.
sprayed and fitted.
The eduard doors and WEM wind deflector and windscreen added to the bridge. Test fitted prior to painting.
Plan will be to get the bridge painted and in place, and look at the funnels, and after superstructure.
More soon.

Tricky one to do, the ship was still in pre-war fit at this time, would be very easy to overdo it.

I am quite pleased with the result, pity there wasn't a cross alleyway on the gallery deck, would show off the interior better, but I can see no evidence in photographs of the ship in this period. ah well it does it's job.
