Si,

Fine progress with the wood deck and PE. That was a nice feature to have those anchor ways included. Beats having to remove molded on anchor chain and the follow up cleaning.

Mark

Thanks Mark,

I do agree, cleaning up molded on anchor chains neatly can be a bit of a chore,

The Infini wood deck set is quite a bit more than just the deck, there is also a small but packed etched fret, brass mooring bits, ensign and Jack staffs and some very nice black anchor cable.

Cheerss

Looking good Si! As always, the addition of the wood deck instantly starts to bring the ship alive! I agree with Mark, those etched anchor ways and piece for the eyes of the ship are a great idea.

Thanks Tim,

It certainly does. The etch is very good, it does give very clean lines to the anchor ways and the eyes of the ship, it is a well designed little fret in the infini deck.

Cheers

Thanks Russ,

Part of the Trick is having three of four builds on the go at the same time, always got something to at bench.

A bit more progress.

The decks all down.

The boat racks made from a mix White ensign, Edurad and infini parts.

Painted and fitted in place.

Fitting the ground tackle, the very nice infini cable.

Port and starboard cables in place, along with a few other details.

All the cable stoppers fitted.

More soon,

Cheers

Si

Si,

Nice progress. Did those cable stoppers come with the kit or after market or did you make them your self?

Thanks Mark,

The Cable stoppers came on the fret with the Infini Deck, that set was pricey, but then there is quite bit for the Money, the fret has a fair bit of deck furnature in.

Infini seem to be the new Gold Standard in AM, Si

Would love to try out on their CV-5/6 set on Merit's 1/350 kit... Alas, I need to win the lottery...

Looking good though, mate

Hi Russ,

I won't argue with that, infini's sets are exceptional.

I did look at the full set for the Exeter, came in not far short of the Advanced Pontos set for the 1/200th Bismarck, too rich for me!

Thanks for looking in.

Time at the bench has been a bit limited of late, bur a little progress.

The Infini etched breakwater.

The breakwater and some more goodies from the infini deck set ready for a coat of paint.

sprayed and fitted.

The eduard doors and WEM wind deflector and windscreen added to the bridge. Test fitted prior to painting.

Plan will be to get the bridge painted and in place, and look at the funnels, and after superstructure.

More soon.

Cheers

Si.

Si, that is some first-rate work on the bridge!

Such a shame that gallery deck inside below won't be all that visible through those little windows!

Thanks Mark,

Tricky one to do, the ship was still in pre-war fit at this time, would be very easy to overdo it.

Kit parts were rather nice too.

Thanks Tim,

I am quite pleased with the result, pity there wasn't a cross alleyway on the gallery deck, would show off the interior better, but I can see no evidence in photographs of the ship in this period. ah well it does it's job.

appreciate you looking in.

Cheers
