Jim has some fantastic shots of some great ship dios from Tamiya Com.

Here are some examples.

To me I hope this one is supposed to be a "what if" and isn't really trying to show an Iowa class BB on the Doolittle raid.

These two showing the final moments of the Prince of Wales are pretty spectacular.

This is another Doolittle dio. What impresses me is the attention to detail. Instead of showing all the props spinning only the first three aircraft have spinning props, with one having one prop spinning, and one unstarted, just the way it would have been.

I just think there is some great work here.

The Mighty Mo dio was a "what if". It is titled "If She Was in 1942..." and it won the Master Modeler trophy and the trip to Japan. Here is a link to the Tamiya page with more photos on it.

Glad to hear that. It was such an incredible dio, complete with an cut away Hornet showing the interior, that I just couldn't believe the modeler could have made such a mistake.
