I'm finishing the Revell 1/72 scale S-100 Schnellboot, and I was wondering, how would one lightly weather it? Thanks for your time.

Howdy Matthew, The main weathering you will find on the S-100 is area's of rust. This in area's of heavy wear , such as anchor chains and chain guides or mortices. Along walkways and little area's where water is chanelled and flows down the hull. Rust is usualy found in streaks, lightly visable. So as you say, lightly weathered.

What I do to ad the rust streaks is I use Model Masters rust enamel thinned down a bit. And dry brushed on the streaks with a small flat brissel brush. Try expearementing on a od piece of plastic before weathering your model.

Any more questions, just ask.

Pastels work really good also, use a small pointed brush and start where you want and make the rust mark wider as you go down and away.
