Hi all,

does anybody know what tamiya paints are needed to paint the revell corvette, i have checked a couple of conversion charts but some of the numbers do not tie up. If anyone has built this kit or similar ww2 british warships using tamiya colours could you let me know what paints i need,

many thanks

steve.

Hi Steve

Not sure about Tamiya colours but I'm using White Ensign Models colourcoats for my kit. For the hull colours you will need to be pretty accurate in this scale I think, depends on what scheme you are planning to paint though?

Are you building the Flower Class Corvette - same as this one ? :

I don't know what color my modeler used, but I'm sure he had researched well before building the ship.

Yes that's the kit I'm building, although the one you show is HMCS Snowberry, whilst I'm doing HMS Campanula - K18. She was Nicholas Monsarrat's ship (well, he served in her).

Nice sunny morning here in Cornwall so I will take some pics and get them posted later

Cheers!
