I am about to attempt to build a catapult, for my 1/48 Arado Ar 196, I have the White Ensign Models 1/72 etched version, which looks very good, to use as a template. In 1/48 scale, though, I need mor details. I have seen pics on the net, but none that show all the details. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Mal.
When I built my 1/72 WEM catapolt, and did my research for its review, I scoured all the internet sites and books I could find. I even contacted John snider of WEM's for details! I dont want to say it, but I drew a blank! I just could not find any pic's or written documents on the catpolt. The one other person that you might contact about references is Peter Hall the designer of the WEM catapolt. You should be able to contact him thru the WEM website.

I've read your review, very good, and seen the pic included. It's the one I found on the net. I'll hold out a little longer, in a vain hope that someone has that one pic that usually turns up, just after completion of a project
