Does Tamiya produce the Bismarck and if yes which scale is it? Is the molding and so on okay? I want to build the Bismarck for a relative of my grandpa who was on it. (Commander or something in the rear upper cannon)

Looks like you are in luck. Yes Tamiya does produce a bismark. I know they have it in 1/350 for around $50 depending on where you look for one. I am not sure about 1/700, but I believe they do. Though I haven't built it yet, I hear that the 1/350 is of very high quality with the biggest complaint being that there is molding of the wooden deck on the superstructure. That however is easily fixed with either a White Ensign PE set if you are willing to spend the cash.

Hello Heiko!
The Tamiya 1/350 Bismarck is the best kit available for this ship in plastic. I recommend this kit to anyone seriuse about building the Bismarck. It has great fit and well molded parts!
Here is a picture of there Tirpitz I built, basicly the same kit.
HTH,
Garry

If you really want to super detail it
I have a set of barrels down to the 10.5cm in brass; and all perfectly made the same by CNC machines
They are not cheap; but are the best out there
Please email me for details
