Thought it would be interesting to have a ship of the week photo. Can anyone guess what warship this is? 
She is realy a beauty!

I think GOM is right, either Jean Bart or Richelieu.

 :-) Dave that was way to easy ! LOL! Yes It is the French Battleship Jean Bart. A grand and beautiful ship she was! Just like her sister ship the Richeleiu.

Not new, it was taken in the 1950's . The Jean Bart had a life from 1940 to 1970 before she was scrapped.

 Why not make the whole plane out of the same material the blackbox is made from?

How could you miss her lovely fantail without a turret, sleek bow, and excellent top works.......  :-)  :-)  :-)  :-)

Nice picture of a  nice looking battleship, Garry.   Not only was she good looking, but she was one of the best treaty battleships ever built.    Too bad they never got to build the Gascogne (sp?) - which would have had one quad 15 inch turret forward and one aft.    That would have been a fine looking ship.
