Calling all Blackshoes, Brownshoes, Airdales, Bubbleheads, Slimey Polliwogs, and fellow Exhaulted Shellbacks out there. If you will note, we are falling seriously behind our ground-crawling and mud-moving bretheren in the article and forum departments. I will be sending in some pictures to be worked up for posting shortly, with some that I took on the flight-deck of the Constellation when we were over there doing that Gulf Thing and others from my squadrons flight line back at "The Hotel California".
Remember, things that are or were just normal everyday sights to us might help our friends out there to make their work better and make the hobby more interesting for us all. Get those keels laid and those hulls in the water!

BlueBear,
Sounds great. Thanks for the content push. We could use some kit reviews too as the only one we have is from when I launched the site.

I think the big problem with getting more ship (and A/C) builders to the site is that they just don't know we are here. Routine postings on our boards will help attract new users though. It has helped with A/C lately.

Cheers,
Jim

I haven't gone over my latest copy of Fine Scale Modeler or looked in any of the other modeling magazines in my local shops looking for it, but does Armorama have any ads in with them? That might give anyone out there that is looking for a site like ours a heads-up that we're here

BB,
I have thought about it. But I am afraid to even check on the costs for an ad like that. Generally mag ads are bookoo $$$.

Jim, Can I send in some pictures scanned from my cruise books off the USS Enterprise? I probably need to check to see if there is a copyright on them correct?

BB,
Err...what's a cruise book??

If they are US MIlitary photos released to GP then there shouldn't be a problem. Now if they aren't suppose to be seen by the public....hmmm....

I'd love to give a naval subject a try - anyone so nautically inclined know what I can use to model a WW II US Destroyer Escort?

Darn Gunnie...I would have thought you'd be itching to build a Vietnam Gunboat or the like. Nice transition from guntrucks.

Gunnie, you should be able to easily find an WWII DE kit. Squadron has some and www.steelnavy.com has some reviews of some 1/350 scale DE's. My wife keeps asking me when I'm going to do a ship but I keep putting it off.

I don't know about the NAVY but the the ARMY considers all material released by PAO to be Public Information
