Hi!!
I just bought my first submarine, the Revell 1:230 ssn skipjack, and I am unsure as to the colouring. The instructions say to use a light grey sail and the rest black, but everything i've seen has shown a black and red scheme. Anybody know the red?
Thanks

I do not remember exact colors I mixed to paint this model, but it was Revell enamel 90%red+10%black

Hi Noodles!!

It really depends on the period you want to make your USS Skipjack...

The Grey and Black was the Skipjack's early scheme
The Black and Red was used in her later days

This was already discussed here:
Resin Skipjack with Painting Scheme reference

And the Revell Model has been built by some members for DDD Campaign (wich you still may enlist)
Waterline Dio of Skipjack
Full Hull Skipjack

And there are more...
