My e-friend Max from Japan posted the following websites about a Yamato museum in Kure Japan, the birthplace of the Yamato.

http://yamato.s20.xrea.com/B_Yamato/y_museum/y_museum.html

http://www.kurenavi.jp/html/m000153.html

Like the URLs about the Yamato movie these are in Japanese but you get some of the drift. Max says the model of the ship is 1/10 scale, weight abouts 30 tons, can float, and if they put a motor on the screw it can move.
