I recently purchased italeris 1/35th LCM3. I'm looking for an unusual paint scheme to do it in. I want it to be authentic WW2 but out of the norm. Have seen a shot of one in a two tone green and one solid navy blue.
Appreciate any and all help.

Ciao Jerry,
Wish I could help you, but I just went with the Navy Blue-Gray and hull red bottom. It sure was a lot of fun to build it, though. Enjoy!
Ciao for now

Thanks for the reply. It was the Italeri kit you built ? If so did you encounter any fit problems.
When I go into our local hobby shop I always pick up either figures, armor or an aircraft kit. Took him by surprise when I picked up the LCM kit. Told him it'd probably be the only ship kit I build. After all it could carry armor ( LIght ; and figures ) the best of three worlds, lol. Besides I'm fifty and even on a good day I have trouble seeing 1/48 scale kit parts let alone 1/350 or smaller, lol. So a ship that size was a God send. Thanks again

You thought about Olive Drab? The LCMs used in the Rhine Crossing were painted this (unswabbie-like) color...Jim

Never thought about olive drab, but not a bad idea. That would make it possible to put it on the Dragon Wagon I have. hmmm Nice idea indeed. Thanks

See 1st 4 photos in My Gallery, Heavy Haulers Album.

There is a thread here where we discussed this issue. Basically the photos reflect the OD went all the way down the side, maybe underneath, and was brush applied.
