Italeri LCVP Review on PMMS
Posted: Friday, July 15, 2005 - 01:51 AM UTC
The review of the new Italeri LCVP is up on PMMS in case anyone is interested in reading it. It is pretty positive, so I am looking forward to adding one of these to my gator collection.

Great, I hadn't even heard of this one coming out. I wonder. It mentions a Jeep and 12 men. Would it also be able to carry a halftrack or something? Or would you have to go up to the LCM for that?
Diorama possibilities abound, combined with DML's 29th Infantry figures.
Good news for everybody, swabbies and land guys.

Rodger,
Googled around and found out the LCVP could carry 8,100 pounds of cargo, about four tons. M3 halftracks, according to one website, weighed a little over 9 tons.
Now I need to practice modeling surf...

That's awesome! Been waiting on this one...
The local hobby shop says that it is coming out in the States this August...hopefully sooner rather than later!
Should be a quick build, too, which will make a nice change of pace!!
Thanks for the link to the Perth review, Skipper!
I hope that this kit does well and that Italeri will continue with their expanding line of 35th scale amphibious assualt craft!
Any guesses on what similar subject they might do next...?
Aloha,
Johnny B.
