Hey guys. Just go the Trumpeter 1/700 scale Lex. What an awesome kit. Found a pic with the deck still natural from 1942. She is wearing the sea blue camo measure. What color do you guys recomend painting the tie downs...black or deck blue?

Are you talking about this picture?
If so - that's the Saratoga. If you are talking about the one in the latest edition of Warship Modeler, those were taken in 1941. By 1942, the Lex absolutely had the Norfolk stain applied to her deck.
Either way, I believe the tie downs should have been deck blue.
