Just bought this kit from Bill at Pacfic Front Hobbies. The Askold is a Russian Protected Cruiser 1904.It is the BEST resin kit that I have ever seen or bought! And I have kit's from just about everyone.FOR ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN MAD ABOUT HOW THE QUALITY OF RESIN KITS,THIS KIT IS THE ONE TO CHANGE YOUR MIND!To just give you an example, the small 47mm Hotchiss guns have barrels that are only .010 dia.How they are able to mold this detail is trully amazing. The hull is molded in two parts, being divided at the waterline. The best part is that they are hollow cast with the wall thickness of about 1/8".Which means that you do not have all that resin to sand or cut off.The overall detail is amazing. It has PE which is stainless steel. The resin is a gray color without any smell. For the asking price of $175.00,it is worth it.And they have produced one other kit in 1/350 the Battleship Retvizan 1900 which is of the same quality and price. If you want a coule of kit's that are at the leading edge of the art,try these! :-)
