I had just finished the Tamiya 1:700 Prinz Eugen and posted the images in my gallery.

This is my first 1:700 waterline after a long 15-16 yrs. I use to glue together a lot of Japanese waterline ship when I was a kid.

And my 1st attempt to model water after much research on how to go about doing it. Not so much about the kit but it serve as a platform to test out the technique. Room for improvement on the wake created by oil paints, could have build up more gel to add depth to the wake.

The kit by tamiya is fantastic and I think the details are good enough, not to spend to much time and energy bending photoetch and discarding parts into my spare box. Manage to savage some railings from GMM and sufficient only for the main deck.

I'm sure someone can move this thread?

Looks real good to me, I hope my Scharnhorst will just as good and I hope I can make such nice base as well!

Is it an entry for the dreadnaughts campaign?

I likethe base.Picture is too dark but it looks like a clean build. I've got Bismarck on the shelf. Perhaps after the Panzer Ace campaign.

Hi SK

Your DKM Bismark looks good!
Although the pictures are a little dark I would like to sugest two things:
- Since you have add the PE railling why not rig it? Some lycra thread or very fine streched sprue would do the trick.
- Try to give a varnish coat to the base (and perhaps darken it a little bit)

Congratulations

Skipper
