I do believe this is a subject that has been sorely ignored for far too long.
It is time to rectify the situation. This is just a basic list of ships in the USCG.
I think these would be very nice in 1/72. Tell me what you think?
WAGB Polar Ice Breaker
HEC High Endurance Cutter
WMEC Medium Endurance Cutter 280' class
WMEC Medium Endurance Cutter 270' class
WPB Coastal Patrol Boat 110' class
WPB Coastal Patrol Boat 87' class

These would be snazzy in 1/35!
MLB Motor Life Boat 44', 47', 57'
UTB Utility Boat 41'
DPB Deployable Patrol Boat 38' -The little brother of the Light Patrol Boat of the Navy SEALs
TPSB Transportable Port Security Boat- A bass boat with guns
RHI Rigid Hull Inflatable- This is a sharp looking boat painted up in USCG colors

While not quite 1/72, JAG makes a Bear and Hamilton Class cutters in 1/700 and in resin. I have the FRAM Hamilton and it is an extremely nice kit.

For those of us on the Great Lakes how 'bout a "Bay" Class cutter? I spent two days out on the Cutter Mobile Bay breaking ice with those men and women on Green Bay, pretty cool mission.
