For those who can't read the text, there is one thing to watch out for.
Revell did not include the smaller housing for the Lichtbildkompass in front of the turret which was introduced 1942 onwards (I'm no ship guru so please understand that I cannot explain it better ... Rui maybe you could help me out)
BUT Revell claims to have photographic reference for the U-boats in the kit (U 1002 and U 324), if you want to build later/other u-boats you would have to check references
best wishes
Steffen

Hallo Steffen
Yes I think I can help you on this:
If I understood correctly it is the Main Gyro Compass Housing - all the other compass aboard are "repeaters"
Thank you for the extra info, Steffen!
Another question, that I should have donne previously:
On the picture you posted all the small insets are from Hecker & Goros Crew an Conning Tower sets - did H&G gave a help to Revell GMbH on this model or is it just advertising?
:)
Vielen Danke
Skipper
PS: I have to convince Mrs. Skipper to a trip to Laboe - period. :-)

Hello Skipper
thanks for the help!
The pic is the cover I did for the U-boot special I run on IPMS Deutschland site today and I wanted to include most of the featured articles in the pic thus the H&G Figures ...
cheers
Steffen
P.S. the Revell Logo is on the pic because I used the picture from their site ... and as it is their new kit I felt it was appropriate

We now got a bad copy of the instruction sheet. The featured subs all have a short summary of their deployment and a picture (which ar not so good in the copy thus I - better to say Volker - can not determine whether the subs have the smaller compass housing or not. Info updated to the article. but here is the list:
best wishes
Steffen
