Howdy folks

I'm normally an AFV builder, but in a temporary fit of madness I went and build a ship - a sailing ship. It's a model of the Orel ("Eagle") - built in 1669 and was Russia's 1st warship. As this is my 1st time building a ship, I'd really love to hear any comments that you seadogs would have :-)

Here's a pic of the ship - you can see the other pics in my gallery under my album "Yo Ho Ho!!) Thanks!!

Nice work Alan. Especially shading on the sails. But the shrouds are loose a little bit.

Congs!

now that's something you don't see often! nice build alan... it must be quite daunting to build a sailing ship with all the riggings etc.... care to tell a bit about the kit?

Hi Allan,

Finally the Eagle sets sail. I hope your parent's place has more room for this beauty than yours. Personally I'd probably go blind doing the rigging. No wait I'd probably lose patience first before I go blind.

Very nice build.
