Hi All
Jon Bersabal, aka mangernie2 sent us a few pictures of his USS Tarawa LHA1.
Here are some info, given by Jon:
DML 1/700 USS Tarawa, there was already a PE set included in the box, definitely AM but can''t recall the brand, i also used some GMM and eduards from my spare the one that was included wasn''t enough, the small radoms are made LEDs and the large ones are resin w/c i casted myself, the antenae are made from spinal and acupuncture needles, the decals were basically worn off from the sheet so, mostly i masked and painted them only the small deck numbers are decals from Trumpeters 1/144LCM(3).
i gave it to my friend who have me built it for him...although, he did alow me to enter her in our 3rd IPMS Natls and took 2nd place.
Enjoy

Beautiful job, Jon!
I'm constructing a ship very much like this one for the Flattops Campain, the USS Saipan...I love this class of ships, personally! Looks great, thanks for the feature!
