Large Carley Floats

I need more Carley Floats for my HMS Nelson. Kit has about 8, Nelson's '45 fit calls for about 16 of them. Any ideas for sources or building my own???

Hi Mark,
Like you I also need Carley floats, but mine are for my Graf Zeppelin again in 1/700 pictures show that she would have had about 10 - 16 below her island like the HMS Ark Royal but the Kit comes with NONE
Any one know of a source of these?
Ciao
Luciano

Hi all

Luciano, you are with more luck than Mark - because this link is for 1/600 Carley Floats
I guess WEM should have some in 1/700, too

I've seen the WEM floats in 1/600 and in a construction article on theri homepage, they mention sets of 1/700 floats. But low and behold, no sets in their catalog.

Mark,
Email John Snyder and Caroline Carter, or you can send a PM to John here in Armorama (dlgn25) and ask them.
Usually they are fast in their replys and always nice.
If they don't have it, and know who has they will point you to

Hi All,
We used to have both large and small Carley floats in our Pro 700 range of detail parts, but have dropped them from production. HOWEVER....
If someone comes up with a single order for 25 bags of either size, we'll put them back into production. Our caster still has the master patterns.
Cheers,
John Snyder

Ahh, I could use a little help here guys. Kit comes with 8, I need 14, so that works out to something like U$115 for 6 floats, not the best modeling purchase I've ever made.
