Ian Hill (aka Brokeneagle) submited these nice pictures of his Revell 1/72 scale Typ VII-C U Boot!
When "Dive! Dive! Dive! 2" Campaign is about to start this serves as good motivator and teaser for us!
Thank you Ian for sharing it with us!
A trully masterpiece

Ian,
All I can say is WOW!!!!
As Rui said "Truely a Masterpiece!"
One of the best weathering techniques I've seen. Looks as if she's just came back from a long patrol.
Great job!

Bravo, Ian!
Very realistic and accurate rusting and weathering, mate! Truly an inspiration for DIVE! DIVE! DIVE! How about a little discussion of your methods? Thanks for the submittal!

Ian:
Wow, what a beautiful model. That is one of the
most realistic, IMHO, jobs of weathering I've seen on
a 1:72nd RevellAG submarine kit. Just really thrilling
work, . . . congratulations. A lot of work went into that
rather large model. Whoa Nellie. .. . . . .

I find myself in unfamiliar waters here having posted only once in the warship forum but I've just realized I've missed a lot.
The paintwork on the U Boat is simply superb and that superlative doesn't even cover half of it. You can practically count every rivet and bolt. The attention to detail is really amazing.
Thanks to Skipper too for bringing this piece of art to our attention. Skipper any chance you can get Brokeneagle to write a SBS?

Hi guys
Yes - this is some impressive work and Ian told me that he is going to write a Feature while building another Revell 1/72 U-boat for DDD2
So, as usual, it is just a question of time until Ian produces a great feature, for us to enjoy and discover new techniques

Wow!
Thank you everybody for the great response. I have just noticed that my 7 went up as a feature and followed the link here. Thanks Skipper for all your work and the nice words.
As skipper has said I have another that I am about to start in between my armor and sci - fi stuff , as well as a dio for the Berlin Campaign on this site, so I am pretty full up. I will do my best to deliver. Is this the best way or would you like a step by step here, referencing the photo's? I think I am going to be pushing things to get another done at the moment thats all.
Please let me know as I would like to pass on all the info I can.

Hi Ian,
I won't speak for Rui, but personally, I feel that a full feature article with step-by-step references to photo's would be the best for everybody overall, because that way it would be in the Armorama database for easy reference to anyone that may wish...thanks again for sharing this beauty with us, mate!
